LINKING THE WORLD TO OUR REGION |
This site is divided into three sections. The pages on Lismore History will provide you with background information on the history of the region and some aids to delving further into its past. The pages on Richmond River Historical Society will tell you what our Society is about, what services we provide, and how you can get involved. Finally, we hope the pages on Lismore Museum – one of the services provided by our Society – will entice you to visit and discover in its collections some of the rich history of Lismore and the Richmond River region.
Our Society's mission is to collect, preserve, display and disseminate historical material relevant to the continuing history of North Eastern NSW. We are based in the city of Lismore, the centre of the Richmond River region region. Whether you are interested in visiting our Museum, researching your family history, discovering some aspect of local history, or becoming a member or a volunteer with the Society, we trust you will find what you are looking for on this website.
